During World War One the citizens of Great Chart sent food and clothing items to members of the parish serving in the war together with information regarding the village and other serving forces.

In the museum on the reference shelf are copies of letters of thanks and personal information from the recipients. On display are items from the war donated by the forces of Great Chart.
